This was the first book I read by the author Jessica Kong and I am very impressed. The story of “A Seacat’s Love” is truly an original one and written with such a creative mind. I’ve already created a vision in my mind of what the characters would look like in such a magical environment. Some really good plots in the book that will get your emotions moving. Great job with this book!
Like the first two parts of this science fiction series, once again I wasn't disappointed or letdown by A Seacat's Love.
The author really does go a long way to make the characters and series seem actually interesting and unique to read about. The plot for this one is no different and causes me to once again rate it five stars like the others preceding it, and want to read the next one, if there is of course. Given for review.
This sci-fi fantasy, romance, mystery and adventure novel has everything I expect from a book of that kind. It’s a page-turner that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. I should add, I approached this book with high expectations. I have read by the same author “A Lost Kitten” and “A Forgotten Kitten” and I was wondering if Jessica Kong would be able to maintain the titillating and surreal atmosphere of her previous books. Yes, everything that I was hoping for – and more – is there. This book stands on its own. There is no need to have read other books by this very talented author. I loved “A Seacat's Love” and recommend it to everybody who enjoys a good sci-fi novel. And for people who have never read sci-fi, this book would not be a bad one to get started.
Jessica Kong has done it again. This tale of two lovers from totally different worlds (literally) makes a bold statement about multicultural love and romances. The moral or lesson of the story is not an in your face type of way. There is no preaching or sermons, just two beings totally into each other. Their relationship and love is real. The obstacles they face because of it is telling. It's a commentary on race relations, mixed cultures and everything that loves that is opposite on the outside. Our heroes must fend off many challenges in the entire world. The science fiction is intriguing. The story is engrossing. This book has all the elements of a great science fiction and romance mix. I highly recommend it. I give the book 5 stars.
A Seacat’s Love is a nice sci-fi fantasy romance, which has some definite erotic substance to it. I like that there is a real story line here, and it actually kept me reading and turning the pages (on my ). This tale has well developed characters, and you are aware of the stakes as the story unfolds and the risks become greater.

This is not one of those fantasies with buzzwords like “realm” and “magick” and rules made up on the fly, but not fully described. A Seacat’s Love is a solid character based sci-fi fantasy that takes place on earth with a limited cast of consistent characters who you get to know. A nice triangle of love vs. lust is set up and gradually builds in tension until the end. For these reasons I’m giving this book five stars.

Jessica Kong’s writing provides relaxing entertainment and a perfect bedtime read; I’m looking forward to the next one in her series. I find her writing inspiring and able to offer a message without being preachy. I recommend this to action, suspense, romance, and sci-fi readers looking for something unique.
"A Seacat's Love" by Jessica Kong is an other-wordly tale of love across the universe and finding one's soul-mate.

The story begins as Rick McCall is living alone as a secret agent after becoming a widower and also after losing his only child. He plans to stay single and alone, but then meets Leonora - an alien warrior and scientist - trying to escape from a human controlled government lab. She begs Rick to help her as the lab scientists are performing experiments on her and her alien teammates. Unfortunately, several of her colleagues die before Rick can rescue her and her teammate, Tigif.

What follows is a love story between a human and an alien, along with the perils of a jealous suitor (Tigif). It is also a very good science fiction novel with a unique take on intergalactic marriage as well as relationships in general.

Ms. Kong delivers a well-written, easy read that will keep you interested until the very last page. I would definitely recommend this to science fiction fans who like unique and different story lines.
I loved the other two books and this, the story behind the story was no exception. How would we handle aliens dropped in our midst? A great question.
