A series that is Powerful, Emotional and Addictive! Finally, after what felt like forever, I got to read this book and it was so worth the wait – filled with anger, suffering, desire, betrayal, etc. We get to know more about how the tenebris has affected Amara and how powerful she is, both mentally and physically. Malloron’s past is also revealed as it becomes apparent what made him the man he is. It is devastating what he has gone through and I applaud the author for her imagination and writing style as she is able to draw you in and leave you emotional, shocked at times but always craving for more. The events Malloron experienced as a child finally make it obvious why he was/is hell bent on getting the tenebris out of him and into another ‘host’.
I am not a fan of MM and the author does not take it that far, but the relationship between Emric and Banon does give a bit of a break from the main characters while making it even more interesting. Emric is such a sweet guy and as his background is uncovered, it also provides insight why Malloron is so close to him. Yes, some questions are answered in this book, but at the same time if leaves you with even more.
Once again, this book ends in a cliff-hanger and it is a doozy – the first book of this couple may be titled Reign To Ruin but this ending certainly ruined me! I will anxiously be waiting for the next book to read the conclusion of Malloron and Amara's story.
This is book 5 of the Myth Of Omega series and I would not recommend this book be read before reading the previous 4 books in the series. (Although books 1-3 are different couple with their own hea, they are mentioned and do make appearances in books 4 & 5 and it just gives you more of a foundation to Malloron and Amara’s story.)
I received an arc of this book and this is my honest review.

Reign To Ravage Myth of Omega Book 5 edition by Zoey Ellis Romance eBooks Reviews
I adore Zoey Ellis! I can’t get enough of these characters and this world. Normally I turn off sometimes when authors go into detail about background elements because quite frankly, I just want to get to the good stuff between the couple (heh), but I LOVE all the discussion about the tenebris and how magic is a source of power and betrayal in the Western Lands. And of course I love Malloron and Amara’s relationship and its development it lost none of its heat, and in fact there was more because of Malloron’s acceptance of who Amara is to him. And Kardos... can’t wair to hear his story! I KNOW he has a connection to Drocco. And we learn more about Malloron and why he has evolved into the ruthless alpha king and as a result you feel so much more for him and root even more for him to finally see the light! I don’t want to spoil it but this is a must (scorching emotional rollercoaster) read!!! (I received an advanced reader copy to review.)
Ms. Ellis keeps it coming! In the second installment of King Malloron and Amira’s story, you learn a lot of Malloron’s backstory and what has motivated his actions throughout his, and the prior couple, Drocco & Cailyn’s, story.
He’s clearly an Alpha in need of the love of his true mate, Amara. (Amara’s stubbornness made me want to throttle her at times, LOL!)
This book ends on a cliffhanger that will be resolved with their HEA in December. I’m looking forward to it, yet, I don’t want their story to end!
If you enjoy an Omegaverse with an Alpha hero who is all in for his one-and-only true mate—no OW drama—this is the series for you!
Ms. Ellis will keep you enthralled with a dramatically, rich story full of undeniable passion.
Highly recommended!
Phew! That is pretty much how you feel when you read the last sentence... then you go right to... OMG, I need the next book. Like NOW. I think the wait is part of the dark suspense and thriller this series has to offer. If you are looking for some dark, hot, sexy reading that is well written with depth of characters and plot lines (as well as some off the chart heated scenes) look no further.
I've read all the books in this series--which is a must---please don't read out of order, you'll miss out on so much an the reading experience won't be nearly as amazing. King Malloron is getting hit from all sides in this book. Which is actually kind of fun to watch, since he's a character you love to hate, then really want to just love, but he just isn't quite there yet. His brother is being a pain, the other lords of the land are after him, he's trying to fix what's broken with his mate, his magic is all messed up, his servant is going through a silent Haze... the guy can't catch a break in this book. The drama of it all is incredible and what's best is the fact (for me, since I LOVE this stuff) is that there are so many varying storylines and subplots and other characters with mirroring issues. The author is doing an incredible job of weaving all the plots tighter all while building the world and giving us a deeper understanding of the characters.
In this book set with Malloron, I'm loving the fact that so many of the issues are stemming from him, and the things he needs to learn and experience, understand and accept. It's such a fantastic contrast to Drocco and Cailyn, yet the voice of the story and the consistency is perfectly on point. If you are a dark fantasy reader, you'll love this author.
*cliff-hanger and definitely adult read*
The saga continues and the mystery too! I love how Ellis gives us some answers to those raised in the prior books but still keeps us waiting for the big reveal. It’s cruel to us readers but a good literary device that works here. Malloron and Amara are together, working out their various issues, and boy, what a nice refreshing change that was. And there are still major cringeworthy issues, especially concerning Malloron’s use of magic. Malloron isn’t your typical Alpha a- hole—-he’s much too cerebral for that. I also like how he’s really started to fall for Amara. He’s softened considerably. Amara’ s tough and not a pushover, but also not a martyr. Lots of hot and spicy times in this one. I love M and A together. And the ending!? Cliffhanger central. Wow, karma’s a b$itch. Must read the prior book in the series or you’ll be lost here. Highly recommend.
